No. It is one of the driest Canary Islands, with most rainfall concentrated between November and February. Even then, showers are usually brief and light. Annual rainfall is around 100mm.

What is the sea temperature like?

Sea temperatures range from 19°C in winter to 24°C in late summer. Swimming is comfortable year-round, though a wetsuit may be welcome in January and February.

Is it windy on the island?

Yes, especially in summer when the trade winds blow. This keeps humidity low and makes the heat feel less intense. Winds are also a draw for windsurfers and kitesurfers.
